Call Before You Dig
We mark out underground services (gas, water, power, NBN) before any grinding to ensure safety.
Grind to Depth
Our commercial grinders remove the stump and main lateral roots to a minimum of 300 mm below surface level.
Backfill & Level
The resulting mulch is used to backfill the void. We can also supply topsoil and seed if requested.
Site Clean-Up
Any excess mulch is raked out or removed depending on your preference. Site left clean and level.

How deep do you grind stumps?
We grind to a minimum of 300 mm below grade as standard, which is sufficient for turf and most plantings. Deeper grinding is available for hardscaping.
Can you grind stumps in tight spaces or near structures?
Yes. We have compact track-mounted grinders that can access through standard gates and work within 150 mm of structures.
Will the stump regrow after grinding?
Grinding destroys the cambium layer, stopping regrowth in most species. Some eucalypts and willows may reshoot from lateral roots; we can apply a herbicide treatment if required.
